Soy wax candles are all vegetable, which results in a nearly soot-free candle that does not emit any harmful toxins and will not cause soot on walls, etc. They burn much cooler than paraffin and last about 30% longer, as well. It’s important to keep your wicks trimmed to ¼ inch to maximize the burn hours and to prevent any soot from developing from too large of a flame.
